With upcoming graduations just around the corner, I was fondly thinking of my own time waiting for when I could finally accept my diploma and jump into the “real” world. That moment when all my hopes were high and I had an idealistic view of the world. Fresh graduates, are so eager to find a job right after college because in order to feel that sense of independence. You earn your own money and live the kind of life you want.
We've all had those moments that we wish we could take back. In our job search, we spend hours searching for the right job for which to apply. We stress over every sentence in our resume or CV. We go to every networking event. And yet, all too often, we may not spend all that much time preparing fo the interview. Remember, all else leads to the interview. But the interview is what gets you that job offer (OR not).
TeleTech’s Greeley facility celebrated its one-year anniversary on February 12, 2013. The festivities kicked off with opening remarks by Trevor Forrester, service delivery director/program director, followed by a site tour for visiting executives: Mark Grindeland, chief marketing officer; Mike Jossi, executive vice president, Human Capital; Daryl Prater, senior vice president, Operations; and Arthur Nowak, vice president, Operations. Employees were also treated to a delicious birthday cake during the anniversary ceremony.
Nineteen employees were recognized during the event for their key contributions to the facilities first-year success. Each employee received a special certificate and gift. Congratulations to the following employees:

Spencer McIlvain retired as an Air Force Sergeant after 24 years of service. He started his career as a communications specialist at Robins Air Force base in Georgia and part of his responsibility was to support Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After some time, he moved to Grand Forks Air force Base in North Dakota where he worked with the nuclear missile communications unit. His unit was deployed to bare environments to set up satellite, telephone and internet communications to support of various military units. He was deployed overseas during this era. Spencer relayed, “Here I was deployed to Egypt and rode a camel around the pyramids! I was also deployed to Kuwait to provide communications support to an Army surgical hospital.”
