We all need energy to fuel us in a day’s work. For some of us, our daily allotment of energy may be consumed even before lunch. This alters our focus and lowers our potential productivity. The quick-fix for some include sugar rich foods and caffeine. This can give us a short burst of energy, yet may still fall short in filling the void for the whole day. My how time flies. We're already half way through January, yet I know some of my coworkers are still struggling to get over their holiday mood. Now it's time to get back to work full force. The cold weather doesn't help though - it can make me want to snuggle up in bed more and everything feels so relaxed - words that don't really suggest of the workplace. It is may be a dragging feeling to go to work when you are already in a holiday mood, but this should not stop you from performing at work.
It was one of those ordinary days in the office when it dawned on me during lunch that I am tired of eating food in the TeleTech cafeteria or take out from fast food restaurants. You can say that I got bored with the lunch menu or maybe I'm just trying to live healthier and away from fast food (extra serving of grease and salt, anyone?). Either way, I have to have something else for lunch other than what is readily available. I think it's time I bring out my Yogi Bear lunch box from the closet and start packing my own lunch on certain days.
Moving up is never easy unless you have the right attitude, a passion for challenges and have to make the most out of opportunities.
